Dr. Robert S. Scott, International Chair, Polio Plus Committee, PDG Aziz Memon, National Chair, Pakistan Polio Plus Committee and DG (Dist 3271) Syed Shahab Balkhi met with Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishrat ul Ibad Khan and Sindh Health Minister Dr. Sagheer Ahmed at the Governor House on Monday, March 21st 2011, at 4.00 pm. Sindh Health Secretary Dr. Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi, EPI Manager Sindh Dr. Mazhar Ali Khamesani were also present at the meeting. Dr. Robert Scott stressed on the seriousness of polio cases emerging from Sindh Province. He said to-date there were 5 cases in 3 months, which did not have any justification. The Governor and the Health Minister assured the International and National Chair, Polio Plus Committee, their full support in the eradication of polio from Sindh and Pakistan.
