HISTORY

Kings Group began its operations in 1984 through its first business concern, Kings Apparel Industry, under the leadership of Aziz Memon and Munir Memon. The first order processed was of 1000 t-shirts only.

The leadership quickly converted this opportunity into a large scale operation. Investments were made in land and machinery and gradually all processes were
internalized.

Kings Apparel Industry is based in Korangi Industrial Area on eight acres of land in purpose designed buildings. Manufacturing is totally integrated within this facility and encompasses knitting, dyeing, printing, embroidery, stitching and warehousing.

 

EXPANSION AND GROWTH

Diversifications began soon after the core textile manufacturing business was established.
Within the first ten years, the management set up an IATA travel agency, acquired an Italian clothing franchise – United Colors of Benetton and set up a property development and construction business.

In 2001 the group pioneered a remarkable project of growing organic cotton in Winder, 70 km outside Karachi, on barren land.

CREATING OPPORTUNITY

More than 5000 acres are under cultivation today and the farmers’ community in this under developed part of Pakistan has access to income, education and healthcare.

The Group expects a total turnover of approximately US $60 million during the current year.
Kings Group of Companies employs 6000 people.
